Commercial Painting by Design

Every so often, the marketing department, the advertising department and the hired commercial painters team up with a scheduled maintenance painting of a building and create huge visual works of art. These are crowd pleasers, and while a billboard will often do, the genius in integrating the building design, paint job and advertising works better – the permanence of the advertisement is part of the commitment of the company, and it translates well into its target audience. Several examples of using commercial painting contractors for these large advertisements can be seen in the 20 Most Creative Ads on Buildings.

A building face is one its greatest assets, and the corporate unconscious has turned it into dull gray for so long it is time for these huge works of art and more effectively make the point. Of course, it is a lot easier to maintain a building in drab grey – the smoke and pollution of the cities blends well, making it cost effective. But it turns out dirty after a while, even in grey, and if the building is scheduled for repainting anyway, scheduling a meeting with both the advertising and marketing arm of the corporate headquarters can probably make some heads turn in the direction of the business.

The commercial painters Chicago offers are up to this type of job, especially with so much of the medium already in place. The towering skyscrapers of Chicago could do with a little housecleaning, and huge works of art can probably match the famous New York skyline, if done properly. Still for one solitary building, a huge advertisement incorporated into the building design will stand out more in a crowd of drab grey buildings.
